Q – What about COVID-19?
A – We don’t own a looking glass, and cannot predict the exact circumstances on October 11th & 12th. We are working closely with the event venue to provide an in-person event that follows the (local) government regulations and guidelines at that time.
A – With the current information, dataMinds Connect will be held as a private gathering, based on the regulations that go into effect on October 1st. Therefor, we will have a maximum capacity of 500 people, which should should suffice.
Q – I’m travelling from abroad, and I’m not sure what the regulations are for entry and quarantine, can you help?
A – We’re completely basing ourselves on the Reopen EU platform, and the local Belgian Info Coronavirus
Q – I’m not able to attend to dataminds Connect 2021 and I already bought a ticket. Can I get a refund?
A – At this point, we’re not able to refund any tickets.
Q – I picked a precon session to attend, but I’ve changed my mind. Can I attend another one?
A – With the exception of Data Goblin in a Day, the registration is to help us determine how many people will attend, and which room we need to allocate. Data Goblin in a Day is fixed to 12 attendees, and will remain that way.
Q – Do I need to have a functional Azure Subscription to attend a full day precon session?
A – Not every precon session will require you to do labs, and have an Azure Subscription. We’re working with the speakers to identify those that do, and will notify attendees in the practical briefings beforehand.
Q – I really want to attend Data Goblin in a Day, but it’s booked? Can you squeeze me in?
A – Alas, no. Data Goblin in a Day is a highly interactive session, that requires preparation up front. The limit of 12 attendees is set to be able to guarantee a qualitative day for those present.
Q – I can’t make it until.. / I have to leave at .. Do I get a discount because I don’t use the full day?
A – Our tickets are valid for an entire day of learning, so the price remains the same.
Q – Is my parking ticket included in my 1 or 2 day ticket?
A – Sadly, no. While making our budget, we realised that it would too big of a cost to provide free parking in one of the nearby parkings. We preferred using this budget on ensuring everyone has an interesting experience.
The city of Mechelen is a central hub for most means of public transportation, and we highly encourage everyone to use this at it’s fullest.
Q – Will the sessions be recorded?
A – There will be no audiovisual recordings made for any of the sessions presented at dataMinds Connect.
Q – Can I get the presentations and demo scripts of the conference sessions I’ve seen?
A – After the event, we’ll be sharing the session materials for all conference sessions, for those who have filled in the feedback forms. Please note that this could take a few days, as all speakers need to send us their input.
We’ll only be sharing pre-con materials with attendees that have actually attended that session.
Q – Do I need to stay in one track, all day long?
A – All attendees are free to choice the sessions they’d like to follow across all tracks. We highly encourage you to try out the different tracks, to make sure you have an optimal variety in your learning.
